Yanaka
Yanaka is an area around Nippori Station (Yamanote Line) and Sendagi Station (Chiyoda Line). There is a very friendly SHOTENGAI, a shopping lane of daily goods and local shops. A sense of Japanese old town is left around this area, with humanly relationship between neighbors. I used to live in an apartment inside the SHOTENGAI. There are many cats sleeping on the stone stairs, shop owners will greet me when leaving for work, I just loved the atmosphere.

I lived in Sendagi for 6 & a half year!! A udon (japanese hot noodle) restaurant named "Kamiya Udon" is awsome!! You can find it in the Yanaka-Ginza avenue. The owner, who keeps his shop by himself, is a typical "edocco" person. He is so nice as well as his udon. You should try it!!
hi Baya,
Oh my god, I love that UDON-ya-san! When I didn't know what to do with leftover eggs and veggies, I took it to Kamiya Udon, and the owner cooked it into a special udon menu... they are so nice people.
Really? So, do you mean Kamiya's original menu, "lettuce-udon" was born inspired from you!? It's amazing!!
haha, could be...! i also took my eggs and they made a tamago-toji udon too, which i don't think is on the menu yet. i miss the udon place. why don't we hold our Mtg at Kamiya when you come home?
